There is something with your network, probably, that messes up with multicast traffic and as a consequence, the "keep-alive" of the player does not work so after 2 minutes, it is removed. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
(Question to Micheal - does the 4.flac correspond to icy-4?) No. 1-4 were the different channels RP offered at some point. Today only "0" (main) and "4" (Mellow) are left. The icy-4 must be the fourth of x servers used for load-balancing. FLAC URL - http://stream.radioparadise.com/flac - this is actually http://icy-4.radioparadise.com/flac - solid but no metadata (icy-4 is a UK based relay for geographic balancing) Exactly. These new flac streams and the "interactive" flac station we've had for a while technically have very little in common. While the former is an endless stream of audio data, the latter is a file based implementation where we'd play different files off of a regular web server. AAC URL - http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s13606=aac,ogg,mp3,wma,wmvoice=16=496760efb20fd005d043c77d53e975cc - solid + metadata MP3 via plugin - http://icy-4.radioparadise.com/mp3-192 - solid, metadata but no art !! Bill changed the streaming infrastructure and currently is struggling getting the artwork back in to the metadata. But he's working on it. Worst case I should be able to use the same metadata support as for the new flac streams. Many of the Extra streams are only available in DASH and some are only in MP3. So make sure the BBCiPlayer settings are as follows (I think there are no more FlashAAC programs but leave it in just in case.) Live Stream Preference *DASH > HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC* On Demand Stream Preference *DASH > HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC* And as slartibartfast mentioned - make sure the BBCiPlayerExtra settings "Select if you do not want DASH streams" is *unchecked* The "Latest" menus are still broken, it is taking longer to come up with a replacement as the only solution relies on screen scraping which is very picky and time consuming. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
Just wanted to give a heads up for an bug in 2.2.9. It can happen on shutdown or sign off. If you ShutDown or SignOff and some other program blocks shutdown/signoff, then SLX can shut itself down without terminating the squeezelite process(es). Then, if you decide not to shutdown/signoff and restart SLX, you will get a "Player In Use" type of error. If this happens, you'll need to shutdown SLX, then terminate the SLX squeezelite process(es) that did not get terminated before. (Or just sign out and sign back in.) This bug was introduced when I removed the hidden main window that managed this sort of stuff, and I missed this case. I'm working on a fix. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
I think I have found something, All of my tests above have been with an SB3. After the full system reboot the FLAC URL metadata was restored but the FLAC Plugin was still stuttering and unplayable. I switched the Player to use Proxied Streaming and now the FLAC Plugin is working. Hooray!! I recall Philippe_44 was talking about buffer size a while ago which presumably becomes irrelevant if you use Proxied Streaming? Why is the Player / Plugin susceptible in Direct Streaming mode but the radio channel mode not? The mp3 via plugin is still not getting cover art but I don't really care about that. My uninterrupted listening yesterday (all via the plugin) was elsewhere using a pCP running as both player and LMS - bigger buffer?
