Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
Just submitted 2.3.5 to Microsoft Store. Changes: - Multi-monitor HighDpi fixes for menus. This was a bug that I once fixed a long time ago that returned. It is something I consider a bug a bug in my application framework and it took me a little while to figure out (again). - - Improved resume from sleep. When resuming from sleep sometimes certain things like network adapters and audio cards are not ready yet after SLX wakes up. I used to have a delay built in on wake up to give time for those devices to reappear. Might not have been long enough as I found certain conditions (such as a remote desktop session) where it took about 16 seconds for certain audio devices to reappear. My network adapters can takes about 8 seconds sometimes to become discoverable after SLX resumes from sleep. So now instead of an arbitrary wait period, the code will smartly detect when these devices reappear after resume from sleep, wait longer if necessary and wait less if possible. - Sorry for the issues recently, hope I have them all cleaned up now. By experimentation it appears that Spotty does not increase the count but the same track played via Spotify increases the count immediately and the fact it is being played is shown. It may be that there is a lag in the stats updating but that does not seem logical and also impossible to tell. Any ideas on my question re. disabling the search history? Also, is there any way to view the individual tracks of an album in list mode as in the standard library? FWIW the availability schedules, e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/availability/bbc_radio_one.xml, are, at present, returning 200 responses, and are not being redirected to an https source. I can't help but think that, in the context of LMS, requiring "https security" is somewhat overkill, "secure" is a decidedly relative concept. Not that I have any particular understanding of the subject. Continued support of older devices that (from their owners' perspective) are otherwise perfectly functional seems to me to be worthy objective and, very likely, reasonably free of risk. I'm delighted my "https unaware" Radios continues to work well, albeit with some help from LMS. mrw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38299 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I have started using my Squeeze Ctrl again tonight on my new phone (S5 was S4), but I lose connection to my network continually when my phone goes to sleep. You can't even use a different browser - as Apple force all browser's to use their own rendering library (so in fact other browser's are simply alternative shells). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
I would be really surprised if players could tell Spotify not to include a track in the stats. Some streaming services indeed expect the player (or the controlling software like LMS) to report when a track has been listened to. Without that reporting they wouldn't have any means to calculate listening hours. But Spotify is different, in that it's not the same http and file based streaming like all the others. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
Michael, just a question from an artist in our household who has songs on Spotify... do plays of a song using Spotty register at Spotify as plays for that song/artist? t seems to us that they do not register at Spotify as his stats do not appear to change when I play one of his tracks. Could it be revised so that it does register? Now that's an interesting question... but unfortunately outside my control. I must admit that at some point I realized that my listening habits through SB would not be represented in my listening history on Spotify. I never thought much about it, and was even happy, that my kids' listening wasn't tracked... But what you say is slightly concerning, as not getting the artist paid is not at all the intention of this (or its underlying) project. I know that the guys from librespot (the library I'm using) enforce the use of Premium accounts for this very reason. I'll ping them. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

As a new user to both Spotify and the Spotty plugin, I'm wondering whether there is any way to search both my library and Spotify's content? No, the searches would need to be run independently, there's no combined search. It's something which has been in the back of my (and others) head(s) for a while, but with no outcome... If that is possible at all, is it also possible to select whether all Spotify content or only my "own" stuff (added albums, artists I follow, playlists) is searched?
