Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 3.x - Spotify Podcasts on your Squeezebox
I'm happily using Spotty, but this Christmas we splurged on a Family Premium account and I'd like to assign an different Spotify account to each individual Squeezebox. Grateful if someone could let me know how I do this? I don't seen to have an "account" setting at the player level. There's a setting in Spotty to enable an additional menu from where you can select the behaviour (Settings/Advanced/Spotty). -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Alexa, stop Alexa, Pause Alexa, terminate Alexa, stop stream Alexa, stop streaming Alexa, stop playing Alexa, stop play Alexa, stop playing on [Player] // this did not work and I did not expect it to. Alexa, open Media Server stop (all of the above) Nothing but pulling the plug stopped Echo streaming. I tested using and Echo Dot in case the Show was being silly. It "feels" like stream format or transcoding settings are not right - this may be because of update after a v old version of plugin. make sure the on demand and live preferences (under Settings/Plugins/BBCiPlayer/Settings) are DASH > HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC also make "allow transcoding" is checked. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi I apologise in advance for being new to this thread so likely to make foolish mistakes so please bear with me if this is one such example of that. After not using i-Player on my Duet for a few years I found it was of course out of date, so I just installed the latest version (today). It's behaviour is as follows: I can navigate to the app in the Duet handset, then to choose a channel, then a day, then a show, then - when I press play - it cuts back to the last screen of whatever music I played last from my collection of local FLAC files. All my settings are default. The only thing I tried changing was to accept DASH or not - either setting makes no difference. It all feels so close - and yet so far. Any idea what I might be doing wrong here? Thank you for your thoughts. (And season's greetings too!). Rocketman Rocketman -Rocketman, Rocketman2- and now -Rocketman3- too. You don't use the skill name for this and just say "Alexa, pause". Even if you say "Alexa, stop", she will actually just pause and not stop so that you can resume later if you want (using - you guessed it: "Alexa, resume"). For next and previous when Streaming, it's just "Alexa, next" and "Alexa, previous". That's a side effect of the streaming process using the Echo as playback device. The skill just kicks that off and then backs off to let Alexa slurp data from LMS. Influencing that process is then something that the Echo/Alexa does somewhat outside the skill, as it were. Hence the omission of the skill name. But this, of course, only applies to Streaming - for Playing on Squeezeboxes the skill name is always required. The Pandora issue is probably because you're not targeting favorite '3' but favorite '3 on kitchen' which doesn't exist. Leave out the 'on kitchen' and it should work. Again, no player names for Streaming ! philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

When you are streaming to the Echo device you can use the regular Echo commands to pause/stop ... so Alexa Stop should work Paul Webster http://dabdig.blogspot.com Author Radio France (FIP etc) plugin Paul Webster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=105 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
@philchillbill, I am having a little trouble Streaming. I have two Echo Show 5s. I give the command, "Alexa, open Media Server.", and then "Stream some Jazz on Kitchen.", and it plays. Now I cannot stop the Stream. Opening Media Server and saying, "Stop Stream on kitchen." results in Media Server telling me that I do not have a player named kitchen and would I like to look for one? So far the only way I have been able to stop the Stream to an Echo device is to power cycle it. There also seems a problem with Streaming Pandora stations to Echo players. "Stream Favourite 3 on Kitchen." which is an Echo Show 5 results in Media Server taking the command and then doing nothing, no music. Both commands work fine if I use the Play command to address LMS player but Streaming to Echos, not so good. I am not complaining. I am just reporting what I said/did and what happened. Is this me, am I outside what Media Servewr can currently do or, is this a bug? I saw on the max2play > forum that you successfully ran Sudo apt-get update and Sudo apt-get dist-upgrade on your Pi4. When I try it the Pi no longer boots. Have you updated again recently? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Make Home Assistant start playback?
Thanks for that link! So, since it controls LMS and from what I see on that link, you cannot get 1 player (from a synchronized group) start playing when for instance there is movement in a room? I will definitely have a look into it in the near future, first some other things first. I'm still in the process of getting Proxmox running with a VM and some LXC's but it's a very nice discovery. *Happy holidays* pCP v5.0.0 on all players LMS 7.9.2 on Debian Buster server in a Linux Container RPi 3B+ with Hifiberry AMP2 and official 7" touchscreen (Squeezelite + Jivelite), +27k titles on SMB share RPi B as dedicated player, connected over wifi with USB dongle RPi 2B as dedicated player, connected over powerline RPi Zero W as dedicated player Squeezer on Android to control Rnee's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66970 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111391 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Make Home Assistant start playback?
Hi again Paul Ok that's nice! So does HA control LMS or Squeezelite? Maybe I did not search for the right keywords. Can you please give me some pointers?
