Yeah 3GB are the max for the 1812+. Definintely seems to be eating more
RAM then 7.9. I'll try disabling some plugins to see what happens.

Thank you Philippe for trying to help!

I maybe haven't explained properly nature of problem. If I add new
subscription (as you just did), it also appears in YT plugin menu almost
instantly. Delay occurs to already subscribed channel when there is new
content uploaded. Basically she gets notification during the day on her
phone and intent to listen later in evening on SQ (its kinda "podcasty"
channel, no need for video)
However when she later opens same channel in YT plugin, most recent item
is the one she has already listen to day before. Minutes later I can
hear : "it doesn't work" :(
Then I check on ordinary youtube: new episode its there, I try on Kodi (
with same API key account etc) its also there. I tried rebooting LMS but
nothing.. She gave up .. 2 hours later I check and it finally appears
within YT plugin.
When I compare upload time on youtube/notification and LMS YT plugin it
could be more then 10hours difference.. Like I said on
Phone/Laptop/Kodi new content its there straight away.

Ohh whats weird : I can actually go to youtube website, copy title and
search it in YT plugin which finds it just fine. Its just subscription
not updating or rather updating with long delay. Hope its makes sense.

Many thanks

So the speaker is not detected. It is in the config file, but that does
not mean it is found on the network. The config file just says: IF that

Is there any polling interval for plugin to refresh subscribed channel?

I'm absolutely fine with your LMS package ram usage on my DS218+

You may have noticed that all tracks are added
(musly_jukebox_addtracks), the sample is only used for
musly_jukebox_setmusicstyle. This wasn't my idea, I implemented it like
this because that's how the "official" CLI client works. As that program
was written by the same person who wrote the library (and the original
Master thesis ("Mirage - High-Performance Music Similarity Computation
and Automatic Playlist Generation") it descended from), I assumed that
he knew what he was doing ;-)
That being said, you could of course experiment with larger values of
MUSLY_MUSTYLENUMTRACKS, maybe with today's hardware, this isn't the
optimal value anymore. If you do that, I'd certainly be interested in
the results.

You can check yourself by disabling all plugins to see what the ram

First of all, I wrote this ~3 years ago, so I have to admit I'm a bit
hazy on the details.
However, one thing I noticed was this modification in add_tracks

Code:

  # original code
  if numtracks > MUSLY_MUSTYLENUMTRACKS:
  _LOGGER.debug("add_tracks: using subset for setmusicstyle")
  snumtracks = MUSLY_MUSTYLENUMTRACKS
  sample = random.sample(range(numtracks), k=MUSLY_MUSTYLENUMTRACKS)
  smtracks_type = (ctypes.POINTER(self.mtrack_type)) * MUSLY_MUSTYLENUMTRACKS
  smtracks = smtracks_type()
  i = 0
  for s in sample:
  #_LOGGER.debug("add_tracks: subset setmusicstyle: {}".format(s))
  smtracks[i] = mtracks[s]
  i += 1
  else:
  smtracks_type = mtracks_type
  smtracks = mtracks
  snumtracks = numtracks

  # NOT original code
  smtracks_type = mtracks_type
  smtracks = mtracks
  snumtracks = numtracks

  # original code continues
  # int musly_jukebox_setmusicstyle (musly_jukebox * jukebox, musly_track **
tracks, int  num_tracks
  self.mus.musly_jukebox_setmusicstyle.argtypes =
[ctypes.POINTER(MuslyJukebox), ctypes.POINTER(smtracks_type), ctypes.c_int ]

which now always passes all tracks to setmusicstyle, instead of only a
sample if there are > MUSLY_MUSTYLENUMTRACKS tracks.
Not sure I understand the purpose of this modification - have you
noticed any issues with the sampling approach?

If only passing a sample instead of all tracks to it doesn't help,
probably not, as it is in libmusly itself.
However, I'll have a look if I can reproduce it on my system (IIRC, I've
never analysed that many tracks). Unfortunately, atm all fast-ish
systems I have are busy with other workloads - I'll post an update
later.

That seems like a good place to start. A 404 means LMS has issued a
http/GET and got a 404 back - so problem is either the destination
server says the URL is invalid (and this is not the case as thew URLs
work for me) or a something has intercepted the http/GET and faked a
404.

If Privoxy is the issue - configuration change may all that is required.

VDSM still has LMS 7.9 in docker which is actually 145MB ..(bare again
and there is no LMS package there) so you either on to smth or LMS 8.0

I would say its expected behavior as playlist is created from queue
which is specific to player, not server. You can have few players with
different queues.
What are you running LMS? Can't you just have at least one player always
enabled perhaps on same device as server?

Is this a new problem - the BBCiPlayerExtra menus have NEVER worked or
something new that just happened to a previously working system.

The Extra menus work OK for me so it is not a problem with BBC.

You are choosing from the BBCPlayer Extra menu and not as a saved
favorite ?

Do you have any internet caching application (e.g. squid) or security
applications that could look at internet requests.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)

2020-07-25 Thread lbmh

Salut Philippe!

A warm thanks for your considerable work for the LMS community !

I have a rather simple setting:
Running squeeze2raop v0.4.41.3 along with LMS 8.0.0 - 1594451286 on an
High Sierra (10.13.6 (17G14019)) late 2009 iMac.
One fully functional Squeezebox Boom and one Sonos One XL are Wi-Fi
connected to a Technicolor ADSL Modem, as well as the iMac.
No firewall on the iMac, Modem firewall settings to the lowest security.

squeeze2raop does recognize the Sonos One SL, but that player never
appears in LMS.

I have been playing with squeeze2raop parameters and restarted
everything many times, to no avail...

Here is the startup log

Thanks. Didn't know this was possible, so learned something new!
p.s. No use case for me either. I use a program called "TuneFusion" (by
the maker of dbpoweramp), that allows me to easily sync all or part of
my music library on the fly to my iPhone/iPad (on the fly converting
from FLAC to mp3 or aac). And to be honest I rarely do this, as I have
Spotify and can simply select a few albums on my iphone app to download
those for playback when not on internet/cell (e.g., the good old days of
being on an airplane).

Aaaargh! Please don't! I like the colour differentiation!

If anything, why not unmap the other icons so they are all coloured!

All app, etc, icons are monochrome. Material will recolour to black for
light themes, and white for dark themes. Material uses its own icons.

If possible please could you add the option to select 128Kbs DASH Live &
On Demand streams in the BBCiPlayer v1.6 plugin?

I listen almost exclusively to R3 and often have constant dropouts at
320kbs. I've spent a small fortune on MESH Wi-Fi to improve the
connection throughout the house but in the far reaches of my estate the
320Kbs stream is still not reliable. And the 48kbps Lowest Bitrate
option is a bit rough for my sensitive ears.

Thanks for considering this request.

If you on Synology 2nd best solution is just to use DSfile app for
offline download. Its OK to use for albums /folders download,
unfortunately not usable for playlists.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LmsUpdate and LmsRepack - Synology 8.0.* packages

2020-07-25 Thread Diana

I'm running LMS 8.0 on a Synology DS418 (ARMv8). (Huge thanks to mherger
and pinkdot for brilliant work on this.)

The only issue I've found is that I can't create a playlist without a
player available. It's been a while since I created playlists, and I'm
not entirely sure whether this is an issue or a feature; but I would
like to be able to create playlists without having a player running.
Yes, I can just start Squeezeplay on the machine where I'm viewing the
LMS web interface, and even turn the Squeezeplay player off in the
palylist window, which allows me to create and save playlists. But if I
close Squeezeplay so that there's no player at all, I can't add tracks
or albums to the current playlist window.

I'd be grateful to know whether this is expected behaviour, and, if it
isn't, how to fix it.

TIA, Diana.

(PS I blame mherger for this: I'm making mixed playlists with local and
Spotify content thanks to Michael's brilliant integration of Spotify
with the Library. Respect!)

Oh I did not see this answer in time. But I agree a zip file download
would not be very useful. Sadly I am unable to do any sort of
programming. Thanks for getting back though! I will still keep using
this APK.

Exactly. I always have a lot of files on my phone.

The app SqueezeCTRL can do this but I think it is handing over download
tasks to the inbuilt Android downloader. I have no idea how this works
in detail. But it comes very handy as you can choose to have the same
file names and file structure as on your NAS and you can download
playlists to your device with one click.

Craig could you do me a favour by adding an option to the main settings
menu for default layout.

Setting is for the default way of listing items *Tile vs List*

I really like the normal listing way above the tile listing.

Your default is to display it in tile mode

Thanks Arthur

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin

2020-07-25 Thread hunta

Apologies, I've tried searching for this but can't see a direct answer,
although I'm sure one must exist here somewhere.

Can I control the order my favourite albums appear in? I have them in
the qobuz app and web app sorted by artist, but they seem to be in
random order when viewed in LMS.

This is a Raspberry Pi 3+ running PiCorePlayer and LMS (all latest
versions).
