OK, I will check tonight.
- I can view the log inside LMS browser, but where is it stored?
- Should I set logging level to ALL?
- Do you want the entire log contents inside my post, or a file
attachment, or only specific error log lines?

So yesterday I could use the virtual HomeGroup player both from inside

switch back and forth between the two usage scenarios without any
problems and this worked throughout the evening, testing the back and

One strange thing I notice just now:
Within LMS, the 'virtual HomeGroup player' is listed, as well as one of
the two CCA's that really make up the group. However, when I choose, via
Ipeng (i.e. LMS), internet radio to play through the HomeGroup player, I
do get music from both synchronised CCA's.
Another strange observation.
I had finished the previous session and just returned home.
There I saw that in LMS the HomeGroup is missing this time, while both
physical CCA's are available.
When I start playing a playlist by using the URL that addresses the
virtual HomeGroup (which is not
Next step and another strange discovery: started Spotify on my Android

I decided to choose the HomeGroup and in the app it indicates that

When I stop using Android Spotify and the chromecasting to the CCA's,
what do you think is the best approach to stop using the CCA's and get
them 'properly released'?
For instance, do I have to switch the play back from the chromecasts to
the tablet inside Spotify first or kill and exit the

By "Simply" you do mean the route that appears to be longer than just
erase and recreate the config file.
1. Unselect Plugin

Hello Philippe,
I am using your plugin to play music from Logitech Media Server (LMS),
run on an always-on low power Asus Eeepc, to 2 recently purchased
Chromecast Audios (CCA's). I have been using Squeezeboxes for a long
time, but have always had sync issues, which were especially annoying in

This is just to confirm the repeating pattern of:
1. 'losing' at least one of the 'physical' Chromecast Audios and the
'virtual' Chromecast group 'HomeGroup' on a daily basis
2. Each morning my always-on-PC issues a URL that addresses the
HomeGroup CCA. If the HomeGroup was lost, one of my two
Great, thanks for the follow-up and look forward to testing.

As mentioned before, 80% of the time when starting, I have to fiddle
with the volume slider to get sound. Could this be because both my CCA's
are sunchronized?

Mmm, could not edit my post. "Sunchronized" should obviously read
"synchronised", although I do like the attitude of autocorrection ;-)

Hi Philippe, first observations are in:
I installed yesterday and immediately afterwards, the HomeGroup 'virtual

Squeezebox classics were listed (as always). I did not mind the lack of
listing of the Physical CCA's since I use
Great, thanks! I might not have much time to test upcoming week, but

Is it at :

piert's Profile:
That procedure is nice and easy, love it.
When I unselect the plugin LMS tells me it needs to restart and also
when re-activating it needs a restart.
Is that necessary? I have it run on an old EeePC, so the process is
rather slow. That is why I am asking

Yes, per your suggestion I upgraded my LMS just now to latest 7.9.0 and
erased and generated your plugin config file. LMS found the Squeezeboxes
and the two 'physical' CCA's, but not the 'virtual' Homegroup'. I will
monitor the progress and provide feedback . Might be a while as I will

Michael, I made a small contribution to your PayPal account in
appreciation for the incredible amount of work that you are doing and
have been doing for such a long time for us Squeezebox lovers without
ever asking anything for it in return. It truly is amazing. THANK YOU!

I certainly know it did before because I learned about this feature by
(pleasant) surprise
I have noticed that the 'automatic radio station based on a playlist'
feature does not seem to work as I had expected.
When selected, a limited playlist of songs appears in the Android
Spotify app. At the bottom of the list there is an announcement along
the lines of "more songs will be added

That is a pity. Hopefully this can be integrated in the future.

Ps: in my case it might correlate with me updating Win 10 to most recent
version to allow the sandbox feature?
