Looks like I keep occasionally seeing this message in the LMS Server log
when I'm having problems with the MixCloud Plugin:

Not sure if this is any help but I'm running the same version of LMS on
Max2Play & the plugin continues to work for me.
It has been ok for several weeks now, since I read some of the comments
above and tried it again. I didn't need to uninstall & reinstall though,
it just started
Looks like I took some kind of LMS update (v7.9.1, 1510723637) according
to the log and since it did if any of my players have Mixcloud in the
playlist it grinds the server to a basic crawl stop halt so to speak.
Got lots of these messages repeating in the Server log:

7.9.1-166, restart LMS, reactivate Mixcloud 1.3, restart LMS again and

For what it's worth, using the test version 1.3 of the Mixcloud plugin
on my Squeezebox Touch I just listened to a MixCloud playlist for 1 hour
and 30 minutes before manually stopping it in order to go run some
errands. The new plugin worked like a charm; didn't stop. Great work

The good/bad news is that MixCloud stream are now also failing for me.
That means that I can finally start debugging the problem. It's not as
easy as before to get the URL from MixCloud. I got a very quick fix
working by making use of mixcloud-downloader.com Not sure how stable

Finally got around to installing MixCloud and resolving a little issue
with encoding MP4's I had. I noticed however that the MixCloud Track
will not play for very long (a few minutes or so) before it stops. I
checked the log file and find that upon playing a MixCloud track I get

It seems like the app is installed correctly -- I used the LMS webUI
plugin screen to select Mixcloud, it shows up in my apps, finds my
favorites and following on the Mixcloud site, and displays the artwork,
so all of that is working correctly. But it won't stream the music.

Tried it, no problems with installation and settings, API key etc. Works
perfectly well on my Squeezebox Radio. On my Squeezebox Receiver only
mp3 works, mp4 won't play.

Before testing I can tell you that Mixcloud plugin was good with mp3
streams but if the stream is mpeg-4 than skip was not working. I mean
you could skip on the track but no sound was there while it seems to
play further.
Because the original author seems to have disappeared, I have forked the
plugin and made some changes. I have fixed the loading of images for
users and tracks, fixed the pagination, and some other small changes. If
you're interested in testing it, add the 3rd party repo

I've just installed and it works here too (LMS 7.9 which is running on a
Windows Server 2012).

I also have a problem running this on my QNAP NAS, looking at the server
log it seems as though after it fetches the artwork it gets itself in a
loop and trys over and over to re-fetch the artwork but never plays the
track.

MP4 usually is AAC (MP4 is the container, AAC is the codec, usually AAC
files are distributed or streamed in MP4 containers). Are you sure the
ones that work are not MP3? That's how it is for me.

developing plugins, but the pain of learning perl combined with the
complete lag of documentation on how to write plugins killed my spirit

I got myself a Raspberry Pi XBMC media server this week, which offers a
fine working Mixcloud plugin. So it's not due to that it's not possible.
I'm afraid the SB is not that interesting to create plugins anymore now

Sorry Erland, that was a bit stupid of me. I intended to include the
