I've been able to reproduce the breaks in sound

I haven't had a chance to try these files yet.

I honestly have no idea.
CD's ripped with iTunes always work fine with piCorePlayer. Files bought
through Qobuz sometimes don't want to play on piCorePlayer while

What does this change in the file ? Does it move the index from

I played through my ~30 44.1KHz/16bit and 3 192KHz/24 bit
The good news with the Custom Squeezelite build is it is now playing
every alac file that ffmpeg couldn't
The not so good news is that I'm getting clicks/pops on a lot of tracks,
maybe every 10 seconds or so

Thanks, followed the instructions but then piCore will not start, it

You can try the generic armv6hf binary with picoreplayer which uses the
apple alac decoder instead of ffmpeg.
Login to picoreplayer and type the commands in bold.

Hi
I'm having the same issue and it appears that piCore/ffmpeg does not
like files unless artwork is embedded correctly as jpeg, so anything
with png embedded will not play, also artwork embedded from e.g. Google
Images via drag/drop to iTunes will not play.
If I remove the artwork in iTunes

This seems more likely - it could also mean that transcoding by LMS may
work rather than convert lots of tracks.

Might be simpler to check whether it plays OK if you let LMS do

The alac file may have 2 streams one audio and one video but video is
just one frame.
It looks like the Squeezelite use of ffmpeg libraries is not setup to
ignore such

Hmm, is FFMPEG identifying it as a video file due to the embedded
artwork being in particular format?
Cheers BPA,
Have now retrieved the attached. Looks like the codec is unsupported??

Don't know - I don't use PCP but I know squeezelite and its logging. I
suspect PCP has provided an easy way to look at squeezelite log as I
guess it will have been redirected into a

No transcoding.
But there seems to be a difficulty in sending the file to the player.
Can you play other files OK ?
If so then you need to enable squeezelite logging.

The log's recording something called a player Output Underrun at the

some files and not others?
For info, the file here is actually mono, so lower
Enable player.source logging to INFO and, note time and then try to play

After a 10 secs, clear playlist and look at server.log file.

Setup is LMS on a W10 PC and picoreplayer running on a 3b pi. Files are
all ALAC. I have configured LMS & Picoreplayer to play these natively.
Problem is, some of my files only play the first few seconds or are
completely silent. When I view the playback in the LMS console, it's
playing the
