2004-02-19 Thread Denny Phelps
Hi. I'm new to oldish powerbooks so I'm learning as I go. My next hurdle is getting my 3400 to print onto my Epson stylus color 740, and I could use a word of advice.I installed the software fine, and the 3400 finds it in the chooser, and finds the modem/printer port, but the printer does not

Smoother trackball

2004-02-19 Thread Denny Phelps
One more question--Is there any way to make the trackball on my 165 roll a little smoother? It sort of catches a little bit and feels a little grainy as I move it. I've cleaned the works underneath pretty thoroughly with alcohol, but I won't be squirting any WD-40 or something down there unless

2004-02-19 Thread John Ruschmeyer
Hmm... given that we're talking about a 1400, there are really only two options to consider for the ATA drive: 1) Some kind of PCMCIA-ATA adapter. These used to be marketed as a way of migrating data from an old laptop drive to a new one. 2) The recently posted hack that converted a 1400 CD-ROM
