I do have an occasional PM crashes for quite sometime. I sent crash log
to Jérôme but he couldn't figure out what was going on.
In my case, it always crashes when checking email. This happens almost
once a week. I just restart PM :-)

It has been interesting I found myself minority on this subject. Most

This week, I was surprised to receive two unrelated messages from people
who knows me through various DAW forums, that asking me about PM. They
downloaded the demo and saw my name in the about box, which I didn't know
(!). Nice surprise :-)

Just to be clear,
I don't use Retrospect. My usual apps that slows PM even after quitting
are GPO, MachFive, MSI, those which are sample player MAS/AU objects
instantiated within DigitalPerformer or DSP-Quattro. No other app than
PM shows this behavior.
P.S. I had paid outrageous upgrade fees
I have posted this 2-3 times. In my case, PM slows down after using
momery/cpu intensive app such as sample player or DSP application. As
soon as I quit these app, I need to restart PM to get its performance back.
No one else seen this? This is 100% reproducible on my AlBook1.5/1GB/

PM crash is not a news. Jérôme knows about it. It still crashes at PPC
thread. The latest one is a little different. Copied bellow.
The great news is PM5.2 seems to be much more robust after crash. Since
PM5.2/Tiger, I haven't seen rebuilding indices after crash.

Some of you might remember I had a major problem with OSX10.3.7 upgrade.
I am now certain TTP eDrive messed up my partition table to which even
fsck reports unable to fix. DW is running past 10 hours, and amazingly
it is not frozen so I am letting it go for now.
Anyway, I decided to use PM5.1
This is weird.
I had to type some Unicode characters but Character Pallet tells me PM is
not supporting Unicord character.
The PM encoding menu is totally grayed (huh?) so I set the default
outgoing message to UTF-8 in PM pref. Still no go.
Would anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
