That wouldn't help in this particular case, as I'd have to recompile the

Thanks to you and Stephen for those comments. Tomorrow I am going to
move the data to the desktop machine and try it. It won't be running on
a server at the clients anyway. Once I have times for that, I will do
as you suggest about dropping the indexes then recreate them after the
import. But
Won't you need the indexes? You drop them before the import for speed.
Otherwise, each index has to be updated.

Here are some shortcomings that I'm learning about carbonite.
1. It ignores many file types by default including .spx, .frx, .prg, etc.
2. You can manually tell Carbonite to back it up, however, when you add a new
report or new program, it doesn't automatically get put into the backup.

now ready to explode.
We are pushing the 2 gig limit now on the client table and he wants to add

What do you recommend to solve the table size limit problem ?
I know the answer is probably SQL server
It sounds like one of your tables is getting too big. You could look at
splitting the table on some field - like year if it has a year field. You would
need to check your code and maybe write a method to determine which table to
access when queried or updated.
I have a VFP database that is

Thanks Malcolm.
Well it looks like Carbonite support was incorrect. If you right click on a
file of type .prg and select properties, then the carbonite tab, there is a
check box that says backup all files of this type from now on.
That seems to be the magic bullet.
