recommend the following book:
Hastings, A. (2001). The Art of Analog Layout. Upper Saddle River, NJ:
Prentice-Hall, Inc.
ISBN 0-13-087061-7
This book is invaluable for IC layout. I'm certain that it would also be
highly valuable for the design of analog IC circuits.

Harry, your comments mirror my own suspicions. Right down to the guard dog
theory... However, I have to admit that there is little comfort gained in
knowing that I'm not the only one thinking along these lines. ; )

CAMtastic does not seem to have that particular limitation. Has anyone else
seen this problem with CAM350?

g DRC violations? This type of GND via "peppering" is an
engineering requirement, and this is a large, dense board. I am just
trying to find some alternative to jumping to each DRC violation and
removing the offending pad.

Hello,
I have a spare Protel 98 license that I would like to put up for sale.
Can anyone give me an idea of the "street value" of this license? Does
anyone know someone who may be interested?

Yes, sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the "classic" DOS version
of AppCAD as being capable of calculating spiral inductors.

Francisco,
I found the web site for the AppCAD software for calculation of spiral
inductors:

Norb,
By the way, when I suggested 0805 footprints, I was not taking in to
consideration voltage or power requirements. Be sure that ANY component
and footprint is acceptable for the voltage and power before designing
it in to your PCB.

Hi Norb,
0805 is still (marginally) the most common and least expensive, with
0603 a close second. However, it's also much easier to hand-solder and
rework 0805-sized parts when compared to 0603 or smaller components.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
