Re: [PEDA] Rotate components with drag tracks

2001-08-09 Thread Dave Eloranta

Hi
I was without the hole size editor for several months, then I lost x-y
coordinate display for library editing only. The only solution for me was to
completely uninstall all things Protel / client / pcb etc.. Then clean up
the registry getting all program references removed. And finally
reinstalling 99SE from the distribution CD and SP6. I made a point of not
doing this while in mid project. Was all this absolutely needed? I don't
know.

Hi gurus,

Can anyone tell me if there is a process i can assign to a button or key for
toggling
 (T)ools/(P)references/Component drag (Connected Tracks/None) on Protel 99SE
SP6

I am fed up moving components without tracks (just nets) and not being able
to rotate them!!! then having to go all through the menus. Surely you
should be able to rotate a component if its only got nets assigned and no
tracks? Even Dos Cadstar could do this(and even with tracks connected too)

oh, and I used to have a menu item in pcb (i think in edit) something like
drill size editor that allowed me to see all drill sizes used and change
accordingly. For some reason it has dissappeared, Anyone know where this
process/server lives. i can't seem to find it anywhere.

I realise these are dumb questions and appoligise profusely. (i am not
worthy) ;-)

Thanks

Re: [PEDA] Rotate components with drag tracks

2001-08-09 Thread Richard Thompson

Hi Phil and group

Perhaps i should have been clearer, it rotates when dragging a component
fine (with space) but if i do a (M)ove (C)omponent and then press the mouse
to bring up the component selector, select the component i want jump to
cursor and it will not rotate with space! Only if i then drop the component
and drag it will it work.

However it does work with M, C if i turn drag connected tracks to none!

Will that help explain it further?

Rich

That is only if your rotation step is set to 90 degree. Mine is 45 degree.
Space Bar will rotate one way, shift space witll rotate the other.
