This is an old topic but I was glad to see that PDF writer is on the Adobe
PhotoDeluxe Home Edition CD. I installed it just for the PDF writer. It works
well for Protel 99SE SP6 and SP5 PCB but will not work for schematics.
Printing from a schematic does not bring
PDFWriter works for me from Schematic, but then it was installed with
Acrobat 4.0 so it may be a different version.

This is an old topic but I was glad to see that PDF writer is on the
Adobe
PhotoDeluxe Home Edition CD. I installed it just for the PDF writer. It
works
well for Protel 99SE SP6 and SP5 PCB but will not work for
acrobat 4 will also allow you to gather individual schem pdfs into a
multi sheet pdf document.

Ghostscript is a GPL (free-ish) package that can do
If someone happens to still have access to the Linear Technology Data CD
Version 1 (1999), the PDF writer is included there also and installable
during SETUP. I use the complete Acrobat version 4, which includes the PDF
writer, and did not notice any changes to the version on the Linear CD.

To effectively print to a .pdf file, you might create a postscript printer
driver that prints to a file and then use ghostscript to convert it to .pdf.
If that is what you have in mind, use the printer driver wizard and select
the output port as "file" and then pick one of the HP printers that use
