I also, would like to join the WhatsApp group for ProTools.
God Bless You!

I apologize to all, I was wrong and did not update ProTools. Updating ProTools
solve the problem. Thanks to everyone who was helping and thanks especially for
the help on WhatsApp.

This might have been covered but did you maximize both edit and mix windows?

Hey guys:
I think it's easy to join if I'm not wrong. Just search for ProTools
in your Whattsapp, and once you're in it. Try it and see what happens.
I'll check the other way that I'm thinking, which is from the google
group's web page.
Best,
Dammie

Strange, I was doing this a little over an hour ago just by coincidence and had

Count me in on that as well

I just did a class with icy music on navigation and pointed out some things to
a instructor named Kevin Reeves. He repeated the problems on his computer and
system. They seem like bugs from what we discussed and may need to be fixed.
Specifically with selecting and deselecting tracks within
What pro tools version are you running? I'm pretty sure the collapsed
indication with voiceover on the button was only implemented in 2020.3 so if
your on an older version that may be why voiceover doesn't say it.

I did check that, also I found that in my controller I had to program the

I did that everything is as far as that part works now I just have to remember
how to do all the editing because I haven’t done for so many
The key command combination to expand the windows is not announcing anything
when I press it, is this normal? When I navigate to the bottom of the mix
window and click on the tracks list show/hide button there is no indication of
it being collapsed, shown or hidden. This seems strange to me
Hi Steve,
At this point, I'd also make sure that both your Edit and Mix windows are
maximized. Flo Tools will do that with Command Option Shift z.
I think I know what might be going on here. Make sure that the Tracks list is
actually showing. There was a time when the only way you could see the
Keyboard Maestro Engine consumes only about 60mb, so it shouldn't hardly
impact your memory.
You can check in your activity monitor.
Go to Applications, Utilities, Activity monitor
Then choose memory view tab from toolbar.
From there you can also find out what's hogging your memory.

Slau and everybody,
I have checked those settings, I have even reset all my voiceover settings
since I customize a lot of things for one-handed use. Almost lost my left arm
during combat Operations in Iraq while serving with the US ARMY. Reason why I
am blind. Anyway, I will try to
Hi Slau,
Again thanks for all your help.
Yep I know 8GB of RAM is low in Avid's terms for PT but for what I am doing
i.e. not making music it is probably fine until I end up with over 20 tracks!
Sorry the ‘one for’ did not mean ’14’ but one item in system dialogues for KM
applications. i
Hi Steve,
It certainly seems like it's the mouse pointer not following the VoiceOver
cursor. Go to the Navigation category of VoiceOver Utility and make sure
"Follows VoiceOver Cursor" is selected for the Mouse Pointer pop-up. Let's see
if that was the only issue.

I've never had that before, try centring the mouse pointer over the track name
maybe? Vo command F5 should do this if I remember right.

Slau,
I am still having trouble for some reason. I feel like it might be a voice over
cursor problem and the location of the mouse pointer.
I navigate to the track list and interact with it and move onto the track name
in the right column.
When I do the mouse down command, it opens up the
Hi Steve,
Move to the track name in the right column of the Tracks List.
Press VO Shift Command Space Bar to perform a mouse down action.
Navigate with VoiceOver to the track above which you'd like to drop the dragged
track.
Press the same keyboard shortcut, VO Shift Command Space Bar, to issue
Hi Toby,
There's a lot to cover here. Inserting comments within text below.

Rory, you are a lifesaver! I had not asked this on the list, as it was kind of
low priority of a question for me, but I had been wondering how to do this
actually. Thank you for the clarification, even though you weren't directly
responding to me, it really did help.

Move to the track in the list table you want to move, I don't think you need to
select it, then press the mouse down voice over command, so vo command shift
space, then do vo up until its in the spot you want, should here things like
above vocal or something similar, then press vo shift command
I apologize for the subject grammatical/spelling error.

hello,
I understand this may have been covered before, but I was wondering how to
rearrange or move tracks for organizational purposes. What is the procedure to
move a track? if I were sighted, I would just click and drag but that is not
possible for me ha ha. I vaguely remember how to do this
Hi Slau,
Thought it would be easier writing an email rather than a long voice message in
the WatsApp group.
One first quick question - Does Flo Tools with KM eat up a bit of memory when
they are running alongside PT as my MacBook Pro only has 8GB of Ram?
I had some strange things happening
