If your using Flow Tools, hit F1 twice to go into shuffle mode, go to the spot in the session you would like to paste and drop it there. If all goes well it should have no problems. Alternatively, I believe you could get in shuffle mode, then, assuming the section you'd like to paste is

Hello everyone, I'm currently on a protools 10 30 day trial and have a few basic questions reguarding navigation and audio/midi editing. I've read here that the numpad can be used to navigate through a project. How exactly can this be done? Also, how would I go about selecting a clip to copy
