Thanks for all the testing and research Slau. I think I'll go down the USB route. Scott, I've had a quick look around and the Adesso one Slau mentioned is sixty eight quid on Amazon UK so somebody is having a laugh their. I've got time this morning so I'll have a more in depth look and get

Scott, this is the closest to the one Slau has on the UK Amazon store. Its a nineteen key Adesso but an ever so slightly different model. Its a tenner so I'm going to get one and I'll let you know how it goes when it arrives. Cheers, Alan Is

Hi Alan, Yes, modifiers as in Command, Option, etc. They didn't seem to work across wireless devices but they do work across wired devices. So, if wireless doesn't matter to you in this case, the Adesso num pad definitely works nicely. For those who acquire one, the retracting USB cable is

Years ago, I bought a Logitech blueTooth keypad for my MacBook Pro. It was OK but I just tried it the other day and it simply didn't work. New batteries in it, I couldn't get the num pad to respond at all. So much for reliability. I've ordered a new Belken num pad from Apple which should arrive

I've been looking for something like this for a long time as well. I certainly use an Apple Pro keyboard most of the time as I often prefer not to necessarily have the laptop in front of me but, for those instances where it's actually preferable, the keyboard is redundant so the num pad is

Hi all. Slau, could this be the solution to my query the other day? The retractable USB numpad sounds perfect, although I'm not entirely sure what is meant by the term modifiers in this case... Is it the issue with using command or option on the MBP with the numbers on the USB numpad?

Hi Alan, I'm not Slau, but yep, your understanding of modifiers in this context is spot on. Should work fine for you if you're not fussed about the numpad being wireless. I've been big on remapping up until now to keep the load as light as possible when traveling, but a numpad isn't exactly going
