Re: Splitting

2020-06-16 Thread Slau Halatyn
OK, Jimmy, this is a potentially large subject area but I'll detail steps. I'm
not going to cover all of the pre-flight checks that you should have in place
because it's too lengthy. Based on what you've said already, here's exactly
what to do.
Let's assume it's only for one track for now.
Move your insertion cursor to the track on which you'd like to create the fade.
If your clip ends at bar 10, move your insertion to bar 6 and press Control+g
in the Edit window. That'll create a basic fade out.
Alternatively, instead of pressing Control+g, you can press Shift+Tab to make a
selection from bar 6 to bar 10 and then press Command+f to bring up the Fades
dialog. The mp3 details everything from there.
Let me know if you're still stuck.

Re: Splitting to fade

2020-06-16 Thread Slau Halatyn
Oh, and BTW, If you extend your insertion cursor through multiple tracks with
Control+semicolon or Control+P, you can create a fade on all of the selected
tracks with one keystroke, Control+g. If all of the clips end at the same time,
the fade will be equal on all clips. If some of the clips are longer, the fades
on those clips will be proportionately slower since they change over a longer
period of time in the timeline.

Thanks for your reply, but I guess I still need some help. When I press command

Splitting to fade

2020-06-16 Thread jimmie smith

I must not be doing something right. Like I said before, I have 10 bars of
acoustic guitar. The bar starts at bar one, to bart10. I want to fade out
starting at bar six. I do not understand how to set this up to be done. If
there's some documentation, I'll be more than happy to read it. If not, can
someone please go through the process with me? I have both guitar tracks in a
sub. Does that mean I would have to perform the fade on the sub mix?

Re: iZotope Ozone 9 VoiceOver Accessibility in Pro Tools?

2020-06-16 Thread Ignasi Cambra
It depends on the modules, but most parameters are visible to automation which
is good for us. features such as master assistant can be used with VOCR inside
of Pro Tools. I would probably recommend the Advanced version since you get all
modules as separate plug-ins besides the main Ozone plug-in which also contains
all of them. This is very useful since adding, dragging, and removing modules
from the chain is not accessible on the main plug-in.

Re: iZotope Ozone 9 VoiceOver Accessibility in Pro Tools?

2020-06-16 Thread Michael Holmes
I can say based on their Elements plugins that accessibility in the PT plugin
window is on par with Waves. If you don’t have their software manager, you’ll
need a sighty to install the package, because it’s not a standard Apple
installer. On the flip side, the manager software is easier to VO than
AvidLink, and doesn’t require any sight after running the installer. As for
their standalone editor apps, they’re 50% accessible. You can navigate controls
and such, but the controls are geared toward looking at the waveform.

Not much help on Ozone specifically I know, but thought I’d share my experience
with the way their software is. Basically a more surgical Waves.
