Hi Robin,
It might be worth hanging on for Arun's response to my email this
morning before we get to a resolution on this.
Also on the proposed naming, the term 'Trusted' has a very specific
meaning and it could create ambiguities - i.e. we would not be defining
a Trusted File System Access.

Hi Robin,
I'm not sure how far forward we are with this but looking at the
security considerations, it would be useful to have the examples for
implementers to understand where we're coming from with the concerns.
For your info, this was the original proposal I discussed with Marcin:

As discussed on the webapps call, in addition to Fredrick's proposal I
think we need to understand the relationship between DAP / Widgets /
WebApps / HTML5 more clearly. There are overlaps and architectural
disparities which we should highlight and come up with a plan for
dealing with. Would

Marcos,
Surely the logic should support algorithm evolution in that way. If it is a
SHOULD it doesn't mean that engines need to support all algorithms - that would
be a SHALL? If we say nothing at all, you run the risk of dropping off a
security cliff if you need to migrate in the future. A
explicitly say that using the wildcard character in any
position other than the first character in a domain specifier is
invalid. I.e. it's not intended to be a general glob expression as in
a.*.com

David.
