Yes, each feature has an attribute with a specific file path from a
folder where there are multiple image files. I think that the Print Layout
is controlld by the report and every shown feature has its own image in the
attribute table.

How does Print Layout know which image to display from the attribute table?
Are you saying a feature has an attribute with a specific file path from a
folder where there are multiple image files?

The "Azimuth and Distance Plugin" might meet your needs. It accepts
bearings/azimuths from north increasing clockwise.
