Dear All,
I am using QGIS Map composition and for an Attribute feature filtering, i
am trying to use two functions at the same time in the filter expressions,
i dont know how to combine them.
One function is for filtering records with field id > 29 and other function
is to wrap text of the field
100% agreed, Sandro.
I did a quick search in the QGIS hub for the mentioned issue, but couldn't find
it for now.
Is there anybody who can comment on the complexity of such a change?
Would such a change in the PostGIS provider - despite the positive effects on
the handling of topologies - be

Hi all;
Anyone here use QGIS for a water and sewer utility that can suggest some
good plugins for; structuring, processing, and/or cleaning data? Any plugin
repositories that might be of interest to me?
Also:
Has anyone worked with profile views in QGIS? I tried a few plugins for

Hi,
There is a simple plugin called "profile tool" that works well with raster
data. For cleaning data, Grass has good topology tools in the processing
plugin.

Hi,
And there is also QGEP - a QGIS/Postgis based project for waste-water

Thank you, I have been experimenting with the grass tools quite a bit
lately. I didn't include them because they are not a plugin as much as they
are core function. I work mostly with vector layers i.e. pipe data so I am
not so much interested in the DEM profile, although it would be good

Looking for more open source; AutoCAD is good but if I was to raise a PO I
would go for Esri Standard and the Arc Scene extensions.
Qgis2threejs, I think thats the right one, provides a very decent 3D render
of a XYZ dataset, but it takes some processing power and I see no way to
add a
Hi,
I recommend you talk with the person responsible for the Qgis2treejs. He
has a lot of features that are not yet documented (at least the last time I
used it). He may have a scale bar. That is a very good plugin.
I am still waiting for a good AutoCAD open source replacement also.
I see
You might want to look at Blender, at least from the data management aspect.
It’s also scriptable so can be used in a processing pipeline if needed.
I’m looking at the same sorts of visualization needs. Starting with a Pipe
profiler. We already have a visualizer in AutoCAD, and could build a

Hi everyone,
I use a laptop on my car where I have installed QGIS to follow the position
over a map with a GPS. I can calibrate the image taken from a 1:25000 detailed

Hi,
for the first time I try to make some screencasts to explain QGIS-features
to customers etc.
The problem there is, that when recording the screen or window with no
matter which screencast software, the Map Canvas goes wild while moving
the mouse over it. It pans and zooms in or out,
Hi Badri,
You should visit GeoForAll.

It is a group supporting open geospatial education. There are over 120 labs
around the world and it is supported by OsGeo. It is a great group!

QGIS does not seem to be able to read the Geosoft grid format (*.grd) grids.
Can anyone suggest how I may be able to convert these files to a format (for
example to ERMapper (*.ers) files) suitable for QGIS?

Hi,
indeed, Oasis Montaj free viewer is able to convert .grd to .ers, from
under Grids menu.
I successfully exported a .grd file as .ers, and while my Qgis is busy
processing, I was able to open
the exported .ers in Global Mapper.
Tried to attach a screenshot of the output format choices, but it
