Chapter 15!?

An 8 page supplement entitled "Release 3.3 Enhancements"

Headings (to give you an idea what it covers):

Introduction

SuperBASIC Changes With Minerva
WHEN Handling
WHEN ERROR
Entering WHEN ERROR
Exiting WHEN ERROR
Turning Off WHEN ERROR
WHEN ERROR and Q_ERR
WHEN ERROR in compiled programs
WHEN ERROR and Externals
WHEN variable

If anyone has time to OCR this I'll gladly post it on my QLib page - I'm
afraid I don't know if the information has been integrated into the v3.36
manual on my site or not.

A version of the manual is at Dilwyn's download site.

I just did a quick check of the .pdf against my original 3.36 printed
manual and everything including chapter 14 is there.
However chapter 15 (Release 3.3 Enhancements) from my copy is missing from
the .pdf.

I'll try to scan this asap.

Thanks Giorgio!

It turns out that Dilwyn has a very nice, up-to-date version on his site,
at http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/qlib/index.html.

Earlier this year I looked around for one, but found only various poor
scans of (as I discovered today) older versions. Dilwyn's seems to be the
last word on Q-Liberator manuals - for now! (Lets hope that will soon
change - when the next version of Qlib arrives...)

I was just made aware of a number of features in Q-Lberator that I havent
seen documented anywhere: EXT_PROC, EXT_FN, GLOBAL, and possibly others. I
believe I have a general idea of what theyre about, but should like to see
some documentation. Ive been told there is a chapter 14 in some manuals?
The two pdf manuals I found online, one of them claiming to be of V3.36,
dont mention these keywords, and my printed one is altogether of an older
vintage.

Not here, same hang/crash. At least with the 'qptr_english_bin' from
Wolfgang's site.

Not sure it really is because of RPTR, but in one of my debug attempts
yesterday, the program seemed to get short before it, but never behind it.

Tobias reported the same problem on QPC2. Maybe you don't use the

must have worked earlier.

Error in line 1020: could it be that you didn't load the correct extension?

I seldom use BASIC other than for trivial tasks, and was not
prepared to debug the program. So I may do something stupid. But:

* There is no error, but a hang/crash! That should not happen when
using a BASIC command.

* What is the "correct extension"? Even with plain SMSQ/E, RPTR
seems there.

Hi,
ver$(1) returns 3,32 for Black Phoenix
ver$(1) returns 3,31 for QPC2
ver$(1) returns 3,32 for SMSqmulator
Just launched Black Phoenix with its own boot and did a ‘extras’ to
verify the present of RPTR.

Not present!
RPTR is part of the pointer toolkit ‘qptr_rext’. Once loaded Dock does
what it is supposed to do.

Hope this helps

Failure or success might probably depend on whether you set an OUTLN on S*Basic
in the BOOT or not.

Will do some further checks tonight.

Hi,

I try to run this nice looking "dock" for SMSQ/E:

It seems to crash or hang at the RPTR command in line 1020, which I can
not find in the SMSQ/E Manual on Dilwyn's Website.

Does anyone else use this program and can give me a hint?
