Hi all !
I'm trying to get SMSQ/E v3.01 to work on my Super GoldCard system
but it just crashes on startup whatever the configuration I adopt
for SMSQ/E (screen resolution, Qimi and ABC kbd settings...).
The system I try to run it on is built around:
- Super GodlCard ROM v2.49
- Aurora
Does anyone else encountered problems with SMSQ/E v2.98 or 3.01 on
SGC ? (yes, v2.98 was crashing too on that system and I'm currently
running SMSQ/E v2.91 on it).
SMSQ/E 2.99 works on my Super Gold Card QL, but not the disk drivers.
Thus if I want to use SMSQ/E instead of Minerva 1.98, I can

I know. But I somehow cannot see how the init phase should affect the
Qubide hardware.

I am not using Wolfgang's version as it did not work last time. In any

Ask Marcel to send over his 3.0 version (or even better to build a 3.01

The QubIDE ROM is not the problem as demonstrated on my system.
Actually this was originally your thesis. ;-)
However poor timings are most likely the culprit.
Poor timings of what? The driver? The drive? The Qubide itself?
I have tried QubIDE with both 1.56 and

Try unplugging the Qubide or at least the hard drive. We currently

Well, you said that as soon the driver is loaded the machine crashes.
The fact that the hardware works with SMSQ/E 2.91 but not with
anything higher is a pretty strong indicator that
I do not have any problems with Aurora /smsq/goldcard/qpac2/QPC/, but then I

Thing is, I cannot see why a new SMSQ/E version should increase the
need for a reduced cable length. Especially as

I guess the problems I encountered are the result of buggy
sources in the SMSQ/E v3.01 CD-R that Wolfgang sent to me.
That's probably also why the QXL version doesn't work
