I'd like to see the people chose the president, not the judges. I know it's
not realistic, but it would be nice to see someone win by the popular vote.

While I agree with you on the ethanol, I disagree with some of what you said
about the democracy. You are correct that the founding fathers set up our
system to be a representative republic, but that was long before the
electorate was comprised of mostly literate individuals.

We have had worthy independent run in the past but what ends up happening is
they end up taking votes
The amount of money donated on the Primary so far is almost 1 billion
dollars. That money came from the population and whomever over the last 12
months.
We are still months away from the two final candidates, and then some in the
final election. I wonder how much more will be spent for
True Tim, but what can you expect for almost a billion dollars, these days,
(lol).
What wants to lay their life on the table for the world to see. The job
doesn't pay that much
and the USA is not considered the same powerhouse it was once considered as
we depend on too many other countries
