Greetings,
Over the last week I have tried installing Qubes OS 4.0 on my laptop. I have
tried both RC5 and the Full Release version (thinking the latter may have fixed
the issue I'm facing). In addition, I downloaded both twice and burned them
twice to DVD, so I don't think it is a corruption

In fact, I can't use and update/upgrade Debian 9.
And also, I would like to know how to switch the language of Qubes 4.0 ? I

Not sure if it will help with what you're doing,
I did use qube-manager in global settings and selected sys-whonix as updatevm
though, which just sets it for dom0. fedora template use default sys-firewall
still I believe this way.

I'm still new to the whole ssd thing as well and more and more I dislike them
lol. Had a couple data losses with the one i use and sleep mode using qubes.
Its nice they don't break if something crashes but they sure lose data easy.

Also, I noticed that the drive didn't auto-mount after being attached.

FYI the microcode update is mandatory no matter what OS you are running
otherwise I could literally root your computer with a few commands due
to the NMI exploit on piledriver CPU's and of course the IOMMU wouldn't
work either so no DMA protection.
