I will be happy to shoot some of your film! I process BW at home, so it will be

I would go for the single hole bracket. Cleaner look, less chance of rattling.
Downside: Need to drill a hole. Benefits from a small piece of leather between
fender and bracket (not included).

If you’re OK with drilling two little holes in the fender, this would be an
easier solution:

I appreciate Garth. Trying to figure out just what the heck he is saying has

I wouldn’t worry about this. The chain isn’t going to wear down the tire, but
the tire might deposit a little dirt on the chain.
I have one or two bikes which have a very minor rubbing issue in one ring/cog
combo that I use probably less than 1% of the time. I just live with it.

John:
Sorry for jumping into this a bit late, but I’ll just add that the mechanics I
have spoken to about slipping seatposts would *never* recommend friction paste.
If your post is slipping, there is something going on that shouldn’t be “fixed”
with friction paste. That’s like putting a

Hello, I’m Eric and I’m a BagMatcher.
I’m looking for a smallish canvas seat bag in dark blue to match the front bag
on one of my bikes. Anybody out there have anything like this?
I would like something in nice condition, but new/pristine is not necessary.

So … if you copied a Legolas, what would it be? A nice bike.
P.S. I’ve only ever seen one Legolas in the wild, in Marin County, and it was
indeed very pretty.

By coincidence, Jan Heine talks about 700c vs 650b wheel sizes in today’s
article on his Rene Herse blog:
Gotta agree with you. I have both friction- and index-shifting bikes, including
one bike with Campagnolo Ergo levers that I haven’t been on in a couple of
years. I enjoy them both, but when you’re getting tired at the end of a long
ride it is such a convenience not to have to hunt around for a
