I re-tuned the drivetrain, replaced the seatpost and it seems ok. We'll
have to get a test ride in over the weekend to make sure. Gotta keep the

nicer ride than my LHT. You may want to try different tires before you buy
another frame.

Blakcloud - I've seen that toe strap idea on Riv's site as well and think
it's a good one. The Berthoud rack was kind of like a Nitto R-14 but for
the front so when it was no longer attached to the fork crown it naturally
was able to swing down/forward. I'll not use one like that again.
Intended for a tandem 27 1/4-700C conversion and co-opted into my Bob
Jackson experiment but I'm no longer sure this wheelset fits my long term
plans as I've found that the Bob Jackson easily takes a 130mm 650B wheelset
with MAFAC brakes. i think it'd make a hell of a bomb-proof/stylish

I didn't really look at the pics critcally... those brake cable routes are
pretty janky. The 59 looks better. I've got a 52 coming for my wife...
hopefully that hits the sweet spot in between. It looks like a fairly low
probability spot to get snagged on things but just the same I would
handles as expected I think it'll be her favorite, most used bike. So if
you go higher end on your build you definitely won't be the only one.

I'm 1 1/2 weeks in... it's easier than I would have thought. I'm pursuing
weight loss so getting my calories 'up' isn't a goal for me right now. I
think I'm pretty consistant around 1500 calories a day right now,definitely
under 2000. But I'm more full from the fat filled meals than I would
on email but it looks like a small shop so

lungimsam, depends on the frame but I think all are wet painted as opposed
to powdercoat. Just google powdercoating, you'll get a much better
explanation than I can give!

Paul, I can't seem to find the invoice but I was around $200 for the whole
deal, single color. I definitely recommend Groody, I plan to get my Saluki
done there soon as well, they are willing to do two color powdercoating so
I'll keep the cream headtube.

To-narrow rims could definitely be part of it. I found BA's to be fairly
rolly below 30PSI on the old stock rims of my '93 MB-5. I also relate to
the post-crash 'oversensitivity/analysis' on everything bike related...
