I'll say a couple of things: the choice of yeast might not have anything to

I took my first gentle ride about 7 weeks after surgery. Until then I was

My surgeon said I could do 2 things wrong regarding activity: do too much or
do too little. I chose to get physical therapy and really
Hey Joyce,I’m 15 days into recovery from hip surgery. About how long did it
take you to feel comfortable to get back on your bike after your surgery?

Thanks Joyce,Really appreciate the information. Helps me put things in
perspective. My first post op consultation is this coming Monday and I’m
hopeful that I’ll get limits on how much I can do. Up till now I’ve tried to be
careful not to overdo anything so as not to mess up the surgery. And I’m

Maybe we could use the subject line to give a hint as to what the post will
be about. It also helps when people search the archives in the future. Then
there's this, from the intro to the group: "a respectful, supportive and

I used to see this in the Bay Area sometimes, store owners/ public works would
put some type of heavy glue/ caulk/ rubber cement on the top of threads on top
of the nut to keep it in a fixed place and it seemed to be a pretty good
deterrent.

I am a teacher as well, and like Rob, I make sure to leave the house
everyday for a ride - an even rotation of my stable of Rivs, depending on
the ride. With my wife being a teacher as well, and both our kids at home,
any excuse I can think of to get out for a little zen on the bike is
essential.
Hi group,
I did a handlebar swap on a bike and the fit is a little tight. If you have
a 12cm lying around and are in search of an 11, let me know!

Thanks! That bike is on my radar, it's definitely a great bike, just seeing
what else is out there (and would prefer more clearance and v brakes).

I'm in, in a slightly different way. I cannot always go for a ride, so I
pledge to go for 30 rides in 30 days. If I miss a ride one day, I'll go on
an additional ride, hopefully the day previous or the day after.
Tonight will be my second ride and I hope to see some Cherry Blossoms in
bloom
Roberta,
My current riding availability isn't conducive to the goal, either, to the
point that I'm lucky if I can get 5 miles in a day and often that's not going
to happen. Which is to say I'm out! What people call 30 Days of Riding isn't
really a thing I can do right now and I gotta be
I know that Carquinez route between Crockett and Martinez, that's a great ride.
Especially the section they closed to cars (after too many landslides) and
eventually rebuilt as an awesome bike path.
