Bagboy's nice as a front bag too, if you're looking for versatility, but
it's not huge. Happisacks look to be huge enough for most stuff, maybe even
a good front bag for the leather barred/towel racked amongst us.
Enjoy

Thx Joe. I was thinking that might be the downside. Appreciate it, I’ll

Good call, Joe. It's true, I can't find a way to email a user when on the
new google groups on the laptop. When using the iphone I can't even reply
to a thread...the option doesn't even exist.

Theoretically it'll work because the 13" just compresses down on the rack
and droops over the sides, but in practice you may find it kind of squished
and annoying to work with (I speak from "gotta have the big bag, don't talk
me out of it" experience). For your load and space needs - especially
As it's the largest Sackville bag, it's the one I have my eye on. From the
site: " A big & tall saddlebag for tall riders with a 13-inch or bigger gap
between the saddlebag loops and the tire or fender or rack, whatever sticks
up highest."
I have maybe 9.5" of gap between Brooks flyer loops

Ok watch me merge these threads. Let's see all your new heavy duty
workhorse 2020 Clem(entine) bombers AND the superlights with parts that
cost more than the whole original bike!

What a beautiful bike! Seems to be in excellent condition too, you have
maintained it very well. I wish it was on the West Coast, I'd be tempted to
snap it up. But I understand not wanting to deal with shipping these days.

I'm a champion of good obscure tires and 26" really opens you up to this,
because it's a common size in so many corners of Cycling. BMX, Mountain
bikes, Etc.
Here's 3ish that I have or have seen others use

You are right; I forgot that thread ("forgot" because I did read it). And
you installed faster tires than the OEMs too, as I recall. How much one
forgets in 3 months.

Hey.
Just to clarify. The frame does have a longer “reach” number also to be
used with a flat bar set up. But yes I was saying that also.

Thanks for the responses guys.
I agree that the longer reach measurement (relative to the bb) Defintely
helps, which this bike does have. I have ridden sweepier bars on bikes
designed around drops and always felt weird to me. Trail on this bike is
around 65-69mm depending on tire size. I
Hi all. I bought this from Chris last month and haven’t even gotten around
to unboxing it! I haven’t been riding as much as usual and have plenty of
other bikes that are already built for when I do.
This is my 3rd Atlantis and 6th Riv but just don’t see myself building this

The review was well done and had lots of video footage of him riding on
trails/paths. I found it interesting that he is riding a frame size that
fits but he could ride up one size. He mentioned that the smaller size
would allow him to utilize drop bars but wasn't ideal for swept back bars
It's very easy to imagine, and anyway the point in question doesn't really
involved long top tubes, it simply refers to reach. The OP said that when
he installed the bar on a long stem he could climb standing comfortably
holding the grips, but when seated the grips were too far away. When he
Thanks everyone for the responses. The Marathon Supreme does look like an
interesting option. The tandem currently has 1.75 and I'm pretty sure I
could fit 2.0 under the fender, but it might be tight. However we have

Hey Frank, Hey Joe, thanks for your posts.
If I were 10 years younger or had 10 fewer bikes, this Heron wouldn't be
for sale. But I'm crazy, since I'm both thinning my herd and adding to
my herd at the same time.
Bicycles create a form of comfortable insanity in me, something 2020

I will wrap the bars with cloth tape when it come back to me built up, it’s
been a long time since I’ve done this. Any videos, all I could find was
for drop bars. I can probably figure it out from there. I wrapped above
and below the brake levers.
Thanks

I have the same problem. They are pretty similar to the Sugino XD, but a
bit less clearance. The best I know of is the 90s XTR M900 crank, but they
are getting hard to find. I have a used set for sale in 175mm if that's
your length. In 94/58 the old XT and LX from that era are also really nice,

course you hate swept back bars on your bikes, of course you consider that

Oh, thanks for that Mackenzy !
I have the original 56cm steel Albatross bar and I love 'em. I tried some
of the 55 Al ones and it was notably different, the radius of the curve was
smaller and I didn't like it one bit.
I acquired a Billie bar recently and it was quite a
