I had a tubus on it for awhileeverything is bendable, esp the racks with
detachable struts. Easy to bend, “cold forge” using an anvil. I do not
recommend carrying said anvil on rack. But...thus far, no adverse effects, and
we’ve hauled lots of heavy stuff.

Here are my thoughts re what from the exterior seems the wrong way to get
We have WTB horizons, with tubes - over 2k miles on them, still lots of
tread. They have good suspension [even w tubes] and are quite fast. Lots
of gravel and rutted Western Massachusetts roads, did D2R2 in the rain, so
far, no flats. Combined team is 330 lbs, plus bike, plus lots of pannier

excellent commuters.
I added a cheap dyno hub, and my son had a double top tubed, shallow
angled, 3 speed, which is one of the nicest commuters i've ridden on (when

Hi - those are WTB slicks - they're excellent. I found them in the UK on
super special for approx $50 each. I've seen them anywhere up to around
$70. If I could fit the WTBs on my 650b single [which fits Hetres +
fenders] I would...i think they're great tires [can't lose the fenders
