Do a search for this document C71RCB-2.DOC it is for the conversion of a 6
meter base. but it does have good note for working with the control
functions of the station.
Try repeater-builder and google. If you can not locate it give me your email
and I will forward it to you.

Jim,
As a general rule, you will get as many lobes in the antenna's pattern
as you have numbers of 1/4 waves spacing from the tower. That is, at one 1/4
wave spacing you get one major lobe away from the tower, two 1/4 wave
spacing (1/2 wave) gives two mojor lobes roughly perpendicular to
In the broadcast biz we call it negotiated gain of an omni pattern...

I used to have a copy of that program, but it is on the drive of my
dead laptop. But the general, short answer is that at 1/4 wave
spacing you get more signal directly out from the tower-in line with
the tower and antenna.
Gervais,
On the Motorola power supply I think you really have TPN1110B not
8. These are very good rack mount supplies using in Motorola 110
watt continous duty repeaters/base stations.
They put out 3 voltages. On the rear terminals is the high current
25 amp continous 13-15 volts. This is

I see 16-17 VDC no-load on just about all Motorola MICOR supplies, on the

If the micor 450-470 can be changed to the ham bands, can the mocom 70
470-490 be tuned down to the 462-467 band for gmrs repeater use? And
has anyone used a mocom for a repeater? Does anyone know the mods
that need to be done? Thanks for the help.

Mike, I located a copy of Antplot on a backup CD (backups are good
things...). I could post it in the Files section, if that is
permissible as far as copyright (Kevin?), or send you a copy directly
via email.

Thanks Mike. Every little tid bit I find I print and file.
Your information is very good and I can see using some of as
my repeater(s) develop. Likewise I'm printing everything from
the links you mentioned for the same reason. Great!
You see I have 4 more stations to eventually put to use.
I was curious as to how hard it would be to add a phone patch to a R100
repeater? Anyone done it? If so how did it work?
Thanks
