The HC711 (unlike the more common HC11) does have OTPROM which

Trying to help a friend with a problem:
Working on a P25 High Band trunking system.
Infrastructure is?MA/COM.
Subscriber units are a mix; EF Johnson, Motorola, and MA/COM.
Problem:
When an emergency is cleared from the console
only the MA/COM radios are automatically cleared.
Will-have not seen the problem but if you cannot find a solution I can
put you in touch with the right people at Ma/COM, now Harris.

We've encountered this issue between Motorola infrastructure and
non-Motorola subscriber units... I believe at the last Daniels Electronics
seminar I attended, it had something to do with the consoles fitting the
correct status bits for P25 for basic functions, however, the majority of

In the P25 spec, they allow for non-standard extensions. Each
manufacturer uses these differently. The answer is to disable any
extended feature sets and just use the P25 standard data alone.
Then you have some companies (I won't mention their 3-letter initials)

Curious;
Has anyone tried a passive repeater to extend the distance of internet service.
I have a daughter living in a house about 150 yards away. She has little to no
service from my n-router. There is nothing to block the signal between us. What

Dennis-used to do it on VHF a lot, the Garden State parkway in NJ has
maintenance sites about a mile off the road-in order to cover them we
used back-to-back yagis or corner reflectors-HOWEVER what made them work
was the harness between the two-in those days done by Phelps-Dodge-VERY

I agree with Andy. Antennas are your friend.
Check this out:

This works with your existing router.
Good luck,

Dear Group members,
Radio Mobile is one of the greatest ham radio software.
Yes it is hard to start using it but, after you explore
the basic steps in logic, you will use it in everyday
life as I do. I am using it since 6-7 years as I remember.
I also translated it into Turkish language for the
