As someone else suggested, you can probably pick a signal off the BUSY LED. I had a couple of these years ago and I remember that the transmit audio was kind of crappy. tinny sounding. I did a mod to help the mike audio, but it never sounded really good. This may be a drawback in using it

I duplexed a 75 W UHF Mitrek (not Mitrex...) nearly 15 years ago now. It's still running fine, no in-cabinet desense. I have it running at abt 40-45W out with a fan on it (same fan for all that time too, btw). Only issue is the power control pots seem a little flaky sometimes and don't allow

Hello, I am the builder and keeper of a two metre repeater GB3VT here in the UK and the repeater has now been operational for the past 30 years. In 1994 it was necessary to vacate the original site, but a few months later we located a new site and in 1995 the repeater was again operational.

Try this Force the repeater transmitter on. Walk around with a hand held that has a CW mode, such as a TH-F6A tuned to the repeaters input frequency and get a detailed map of the area and note the S meter readings.
