It's not an omni, it's a cardiod. A DB-411 would be a comprable model. I
don't want or need any higher gain or narrower beamwidth; the site is almost
2000' HAAT in the direction of interest.

Depends on the configuration. And you don't always need a lot of gain. You
should choose the antenna for the application. I've got a four-bay, four
element array that gives me 9 dBd gain in the direction of the elements (all
pointed the same direction). I didn't want to needlessly send RF in an
A DB-410 or newer DB-420, both omni directional at 9 dB.

4 in-line bays, 9 dBd (11.1 dBi) gain in the forward direction.
It's not much gain compared to what?

I'm planning on ordering one of the TX-RX arrays this week (4-bay UHF).
Has anyone else used these? They look pretty nice. The company that
makes them is RFI in Australia.
Hi Jim,
They are usually marked cm201 on the receiver and
cm101 on the transmitter, and they are 5 pin sockets.
The red connector from the test set goes to the
transmitter and the white connector goes to the
receiver.

Just curious-where does it plug in? I've never seen a metering jack on a

Those "tiny" resistors are rated for 100 watts dissipation. If one PA

Jeff, Larry, John Thanks a lot. I knew something wasn't right about the way those PA's were tuning up. With 110watts combined output each amp was drawing 16-17amps according to the metering panel (didn't run it too long of course). I'll be going back to the site tomorrow night and will report b
