Our group is intending to use spectra's as link txmitters (70cm)
for our remote rx sites. Is there a way to disable the tx pl tone
during link tx CW id period? Due to the rf environment at the main site
it is a must to run tone. Any help?

Hi Bill, You may want to have a look at the Omnitronics product range, the
smart bridges make this sort of job a whole lot easier when you are dealing
with 6 wire systems and make perfect building blocks for E+M over DMR.

I don't recall any input on the accessory jack for
that function. Sometimes you can program a second mode
without PL and change to that, but I don't think the
radio will let you change modes while it's
transmitting, nor is there an input for that function
either.
Some MaxTracs have this feature,
Mike,
I have few objectives:
1) Remove a lot of RF from the RACES room,
2) Release two antennas for other purposes,
3) Consolodate operations: one mocrophone instead of many,
4) Allow simple, non-RF interconnection between repeaters.
Eventually, remote control could extend to as many as 8
You know, there is no requirement to kil code from the airways. Some people are
talking like this is the end of things. NOTHING says there won't be any more
code, it is just relegated to the other obsolete and dusty vestages of the
amateur radio world. I know there are a lot of folks that enjoy

I agree that the higher level tests are too easy. I feel the same way
about driver license tests, both written and on-the-road...

Is there a way to find out how many amps a power supply is from a
motorola micor system. For instance a power supply from a 100 watt
system? A way to look up the model numbers. I am trying to develope a
power supply capable of giving at least 40 amps continous duty that is
rack mountable.
Thanks Jim!
You managed to re-fire an old, unused neuron: Dispatch Console!
I think there may be one, or parts of an old one in storage somewhere.
If I rember correctly, they will interface to nearly anything thanks
to a diode and jumper matrix and a mess of relays. Probably be the

With all this talk about the BridgeCom repeater that is for sale, I
decided to have a look at their site and am thinking about using their
product for an upcoming multi site repeater project in the business
band. Has anyone used their CS-540?
Any opinions Good Bad Indifferent?
