IMD Gremlin. Many types of 1/4 wave antennas in the mentioned
situation can and do become very problematic sources.

I have a Crescend 150W PA on my 444.550 machine. It was purchased new and
it was in service about a year before it released its installed volume of
magic smoke. (The PA is protected by an isolator.) Anyhow, I took it out
of the rack and back to Crescend, who
I have an old Motorola paging amp available which will go to the 6m
FM ham band easily. It's in middle TN currently; FREE to anyone
who'll come get it. The PSU will probably need some work, but it
should be good for parts at least. Check the pics on my web site.

FWIW-the most recent vintage of M/A-Com MastrIII's use Crescend PA's.
We put in a bunch of VHF ones a year ago-they seem like nice PA's
