Jerry,
Thanks for the information. My first wife had a TC3 with the same problem. I
was only able to discover the leak when I went to change a tire in the middle
of a Chicago winter and found the spare tire well to be a block of ice. The
water had collected and froze solid.

Is there4 any difference between the automatic and manual transmission 2.2
engine blocks? If I purchase an engine out of an automatic transmission car for
my son's 1985 Omni GLH, will I have issues, and if so, are they easily taken
care of?

Nothing different about the engine blocks, heads, any of that. You'll need the
complete trans, torque converter, flex plate, shields and bolts. The flex

I purchased heim joints from the local hardware store and they work like a

Gentlemen:
#1 son and I wore out re engine on his 1985 GLH turbo. Rings are blowing
by so much that the dip stick is rising out of the neck.
Car was bought second/third hand, and the previous owner rebuilt the
engine about 80k ago.
So what do you all suggest as a COST EFFECTIVE solution?

This week end we changed oil on our 1985 GLH. We used Mobil 1.
After the oil change:
1) The car emitted smoke from the PCV line to the air cleaner
-We checked for vacuum (we had it) and replaced the PCV
-She still blew smoke so we plugged the line from the PCV line to the
air cleaner
2) The
The speedometer needle on my son's 1985 GLH seems to float at most
speeds. Can this be repaired?
Now for your opinions on this and cold air:
1) Would we be better off installing a new aftermarket speedometer
bolted to the dash board?
2) On cold air intakes, would I gain any efficiencies
If I add an after market out of dash speedometer, what is the gear
ratio in the stock drive? Autometer talks about a 1:1 drive in their
speedometers in that 60 mph registers at 1000 rpm input.
If this will not work with out a speedo gear out put change, does any
one have a suggested out of dash
Time to cash out my chips!
