Gentlemen: #1 son and I wore out re engine on his 1985 GLH turbo. Rings are blowing by so much that the dip stick is rising out of the neck.
Car was bought second/third hand, and the previous owner rebuilt the engine about 80k ago. So what do you all suggest as a COST EFFECTIVE solution? A) Rebuild the present engine (what reasonably priced upgrades and parts sources?) B) Purchase a commercially rebuilt engine C) Purchase a commercially rebuilt engine and intercool it (what year engine should that be?)
