Maybe you could ice model some instanced stone bricks over your castle. Here's a video showing a tool that does just that; https://vimeo.com/69068732.The link to the example scene is broken unfortunately. You can make out the ice tree though, hopefully to be able to build your own version

I'm working on a project that involves a lot of brick wall construction.
I'm building castles !
I was wondering if someone had a method to cut a grid in an irregular way.
A bit like an old castle wall with his squarred stones having different
size.
