a bug. You
could open a bug ticket for it (after checking the
most recent version still behaves like that).

You could fetch the column names from a 'dictionary'
table in your database:
CREATE TABLE Friendlynames (
tablenmTEXT NOT NULL,
columnnm TEXT NOT NULL,
friendlynm TEXT NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (tablenm,columnnm)
);

to the apache/bin directory.
PDO is getting quite popular, not only for sqlite, but
also for other database engines.

That's because I think a database table should be thought of as
a relation, or a set, not a file. Similarly a database is more
than a file cabin
the operating system?
Is your database on a network share / NFS / SAMBA drive, and if
so, is the filelocking of your filesystem fail proof?
Or do you use a server layer that connects your users to the
database?
Does your application handle exceptions properly?

Lite into thinking this is a
numerical expression ( + ) of which the outcome is zero, because
from a numerical viewpoint all the terms have value zero.
In other words: The contatenation operator is || , not +.
