OK after more testing today. I factory reset (Plug in while holding + key, waiting for factory reset text); added the player to MSB account, confirmed that was working, re-selected LMS as the source, and after restarting LMS the player still comes up with "can't connect... press left to select

I'm using a RPI3 running piCoreplayer and LMS. All the latest software versions. The OSMC with dongle doesn't control it at all, however it does control the one I have downstairs with the 7" touch screen to a certain degree. I just don't know enough about anything to figure out why or how to get

A radio remote with USB dongle that emulates a keyboard should be possible as well ... but it would be driving Squeezelite or Jive ... which in turn would talk to LMS. For example ... I have a B USB speaker that came with its own wireless remote ... and it works to control Jive on a Joggler.

No help, but just a datapoint. With LMS 7.9.1 thru 7.9.3, I can report that my Boom, Transporter, Touch, Radio all connect automatically to the correct LMS after a reboot of my server (or just a restart of LMS). I do this often at my weekend cottage, as the server, modem, router, etc. are OFF

There may be more than one issue at play. My SBR used to lose LMS if the IP address of LMS server change after DHCP "refresh" or perhaps a system restart/reboot. I'd first make LMS server IP address static or if using DHCP reserved so it doesn't change. This would eliminate one possible
