Is there a setting or config file somewhere that can be modified to
allow LMS to send .zip files?
Drop a custom-types.conf file in the root of your installation. Then add
the necessary types following the structure of the types.conf
What does a perpetual digital signature cost?

There is a bug in LMS 8.2.* which means some radio station metadata can
make LMS use 100% on the CPU core LMS is using.
Upgrade to 8.3.* to see if problem goes away.

Hi - I am hoping someone can help explain an issue I ran into recently.
I have been running the following setup for a couple of years now,
upgrading LMS periodically. This is the first time I have seen this
issue and I am fairly certain I have had this scenario running
successfully with 8.2
Sorted it! I had used LMSMusic for the mounting and LMSFiles for
samba... Duh!!!

Hi, so I have followed the advise and set it all up but in Windows
explorer it is not letting me connect to the "\\PiCoreLMS\LMSFiles"
If I try as per the instructions it says "does not appear to be valid"
If I try to just connect via browser then diagnose, it says that I
"don't have permission
That's awesome thanks! Didn't realise that was what samba was, saw that
it recommended to install it but as I didn't know what it was I didn't
bother.
Will see about hard wiring it rather than WiFi if I have any issues.
Thanks for the response!
Airplay can be complex, as apple changes things without proper
documentation for open source. But start topic in the AirPlay thread
with some logging (might have to turn up the logging level).

Thanks, that fixed it.
Unchecking "enable" on the Airplay Bridge plugin resolved the problem.
Re-enabling it again all still behaves properly.
Before the disable -> re-enable fix, LMS log showed multiple instances
of this:
Plugins::RaopBridge::Squeeze2raop::beat (178) crashed ... restarting
You can attach an ssh and use samba for file sharing. If you plan to
use WiFi, make sure you are using a fast 5Ghz channel. Wired would be
much better and reliable.

The screenshots are from an older version, but it still works the same.
Hi, so I have just had a new router installed which has meant that my
old pi lms that I coded manually doesn't work as the ip address has
shifted. When looking back into it i found the wonderful picoreplayer
which I now have up and running after about 30min!!! Great bit of kit
like!
But now im
Have IP addresses been changed lately?

I would turn off airplay and see if that is what is locking things up.
Also, take a look at your server log.

maybe the dim memory came from the fact that the touch could play local
music out of the box, with it's built in "Tiny LMS", which is limited,
out of date, and only works if you don't try to ask it to do

happy for you! note that my "blind squirrel" reference was to myself not
directed at
I do not have any experience of running things on QNAP - but as a
general rule ... for scanning issues check the LMS scanner.log plus, in
all cases of something odd happening, check the LMS server.log.
Both are available from the LMS Default web interface and you can
increase the logging level

When I (try to) start QLogitechMediaServer 2.25.1, I (too) get notified
that the app has no digital signature

I was not sure whether I should see the subfolders when browsing, but of
course it must be
So also a big thank you to @MrC who described how to solve the problem!
But without Ronnie I would probably not find this...donĀ“t forget that I
am only a beginner and not deep in all the stuff who can go wrong with
LMS.

Sorry for the late answer @Zombie, but no, my TS-251+ did not have the
error with the fan at full speed.

Ok, I think I'm at the last problem: LMS refuses (with a 404 error) to
send files with .zip or .patch suffixes.
It will send .html, .xml, and .txt files, and files with no suffix. So
I tried removing the .zip suffix from my patch files, and the Patch
Installer actually does download the file
Hi digi,
with the newest QTS 5.0.1.2145 the QLMS gets killed immediately after
starting because it has no digital signature.
How can I solve this?
