What have you set at Settings>My Music>Browse Artists? There are options

I have no idea why anyone would think embedding a 5.8Mb png in an audio

It occurs to me that maybe the "Total Tracks" includes tracks from
streaming services as well as the local library?
I did a rescan on a backup server and it shows;
Total tracks 41,855
Scanned files 35,607

The value for total tracks is the sum of scanned files plus Spotty
I can't say why the scan report has such a high initial track count, but
I have always assumed that the discovering files/directories count will
be higher than the final number of tracks, because it includes the

When you have the DietPi LMS running, do you still have the Windows LMS
running? Maybe the players are staying attached to the Windows LMS?
I'm not familiar with DietPi, I've only used piCorePlayer for the
Raspberry Pi devices in my network.

Just as an update here, my backup server, which hasn't been used for a
couple of weeks showed Material version 1.8.3 as available for update.
This server doesn't have the option for automatically downloading plugin
updates checked. Screenshot below...

Seems to play on my LMS - version 8.0.0. running on PcP 6.1.0 on a
Raspberry Pi version 3.

I'm monitoring two Raspberry Pi3 servers, each with LMS8.0.0 and
Material, one has automatic updating turned on, the other doesn't.
Hopefully I'll discern a pattern!

I've been keeping an eye on what my servers do with updated plugins -
and I'm finding it very variable - sometimes plugins for update are
shown and sometimes they are not. I'm not sure if this correlates with
updates to LMS itself.

Maybe it's an LMS version thing? I also recently removed a bunch of
plugins I didn't use, so I have a fairly minimal set of plugins.
I'm pretty sure that a couple of weeks ago I saw the same issue as
you've described in this
Also visible via the Information link in Material, and in the Default
web interface settings screen on this server! I wonder what's going
on...this is quite mysterious!

My server LMS8.0.0 with Material showed me a list of plugins for update
a few days ago - I'll have to wait till I have some plugin updates to
see if that's still the case!

They are listed in the equivalent page in Material, I think.
