First think I'd check when this happens: open windows Task Manager
(right-click on task bar) and see if there's high load on CPU or disk.
And if so, by which process(es).

I looked at this again briefly this morning because it's been bugging me

Today C-3PO is not working anymore. In the settings it shows status:
'ERROR
Unable to run C-3PO transcoder see server log.'
It used to work flawlessly before.
What could happen to it? Reinstall did not help.

Starting LMS with command line including --httpaddr 192.168.1.23
might be the answer for you.
However, I'm not sure that pCP provides an easy way to do that from the
web interface.

Sounds like hes rug the Pi as a router between LAN and WiFi. As
others have said LMS will bind to one address.
The use case isnt described so almost impossible to answer except one
point. Its easy to set a static or reserved ip on the LAN side.
You can reserve via whatever is running dhcp
... also, there are a bunch of other command line options that move
various other functions to a specific IP address.
Maybe LMS could do with a command that moves them all to a particular
subnet so that it would not matter if the address changed through the
wonders of DHCP.
Something like
