All the accept results will then be examined and best match wins (i.e

Unfortunately, the only way to restart a pi is to power cycle it. You
should note that just issuing a shutdown does not remove power from the
pi.
Issue shutdown, wait about 30 seconds, pull the power. Plug back in to
start. There are some fancier power boards that can do this for

On your player, when you setup alsa, you can create 3 devices
Device one Stereo
Device two Stereo mixed to mono on left channel.
Device three Stereo mixed to mono on right channel.
Start 3 squeezelite instances, name them
Garden Stereo
Garden Left
Garden Right
You could create a group called
Maybe I can do it with a custom-convert file and sox channels 1

Just to update the thread. I found an inexpensive fanless Windows 10
computer, AWOW. Installed a 1TB M2 drive. It took a little to get the
players to connect to the new LMS, but now it's quieter, faster and just
a little more up to date. Hopefully I'm set for the next 10+ years now

appreciate it.

I guess I need to figure out a way to log what player is not reporting

But if you went to Settings/Advanced/Info on the player, would it say

Well, got the piCorePlayer running and same problem.
Next it to try another router. I'll give the eero a try
(always meant to set up the piCorePlayer anyway).

The single line sox should work but with the suggested but I think the
meaning of "skip" may be ambiguous.
It may be suitable for you is you do not want to skip to a time point
*within* a track.
The sox command does not seem to support a start or end

My LMS is on a Raspberry Pi
Are you trying to configure the player on the fly.or will it always
play dual mono?
When you setup alsa to play stereo mixed to mono on both jacks, it will
be 2 devices, and thus you will need 2 squeezelite instances running,
one for each output.
Here is a hifiberry doc on how to setup
I assume you've done a factory reset on the Touch? See p.9:
https://www.logitech.com/assets/32039/squeezeboxtouch-qsg.pdf
Were you using the same ASUS router with your old configuration? If
it's also new, it may have contemporary features that are interfering
with its legacy (802.11 b/g)
When you have the DietPi LMS running, do you still have the Windows LMS
running? Maybe the players are staying attached to the Windows LMS?
I'm not familiar with DietPi, I've only used piCorePlayer for the
Raspberry Pi devices in my network.

Again it may be a fuzzy choice of words.
However, if there is no time specified as a start time *and* the
transcoding is being used - then seek to a particular time point in
track cannot happen.
Use logging player.source set to DEBUG to see the full
