Hi everybody,
I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. With LMS 7.9.1 my
Squeezebox radio plays the 24 bit 96 khz flac files just fine. When I
upgrade to LMS 7.9.2 or 7.9.3 it won't play these files anymore. Is this
a bug or should I stay to LMS 7.9.1?
As part of my upgrade from 7.9.x to LMS 8.0.0 I need to re-add LAME to
LMS in the rare case it's needed.
https://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-bundle.php
The latest build for Windows is:
LAME 3.100.1
2020-09-08
Bundle compiled with Intel 19 Compiler. win32 compile should work on XP,
or later.

Yes, very similar problems about a month or so ago, messed around a lot
with 7.9.x releases.
Ended up updating LMS to 8.0.0 which has an updates specifically to

If you have not done it yet, I'd suggest just jumping to LMS 8.0.0
I had numerous problems in the last few months with LMS 7.9.x and the
latest levels of Windows 10, since updating to a September 24th build of
LMS 8.x they've all gone away.

I have done a full rescan with debug loglevel on all scan related
logging enabled. The complete scanner logfile is uploaded, the last
lines before hanging are:

Yes, with a Squeezebox Radio.
Your report is reminiscent of an issue that arises with ogg flac
streams, where the transcoding rule in -convert.conf- for
It took a while but Ralphy put in a lot of effort and managed to build
up to date SSL/TLS libraries which seem to work and these have only just
been included recently in latest 8.0.0 (and possibly 7.9.4 ).
Yes, the latest 7.9.4 build should have at least the latest of these
libraries. 8.0 has

AFAIK, there's no reason you should need to use the 32-bit version.
In theory, the 64-bit version

That's the video/image scanner. Are you using it on purpose? If not, go
to Settings/Basic and turn off those datatypes for these folders. Then
try again.

I learnt during my IT career to always blame:
1. MS
2. A virus
These are the only reasons users or management accepted without
question. :D
