this is not an option in mp3tag. He meant people have asked for this to
be added in the mp3tag forum.

I'm pretty sure I never deleted parts of the OS.

If you mean by that "open terminal and type in start-stop-daemon", then
yes:

I use random mix almost exclusively. Have been for 10 years. It's what I
like best about LMS. My personal music collection makes the greatest
radio station of all time.
A number of years ago I started using Squeezy and cron to automate the
music in my house.

Same problem here. LMS doesn't start on TS-251+ version 4.3.6.0805 with
start-stop-daemon error message. Start-stop-daemon program runs in a
shell.

Look for Bulk File Changer. It will do that.

Interesting, all our "dirty little secrets" are coming out. I never use
the "don't change timestamps" option in Mp3tag because my backup
software, FreeFileSync, would then not detect the file had changed. If
I don't want something showing up in "New Music", after editing I set
the timestamps on

I'm pretty confident that you don't have to change any tags at all for
this to occur. Just saving does it.

Yes, this sometimes happens depending on which tags you change. A way
to avoid it is to re-save ALL of the files from that album in Mp3tag:
open all files in folder, make your edits, then highlight all files and
save. A "New/Changed" rescan will then re-index them all and you
shouldn't get two
I think this happens if the following occurs:
- An album is added in a scan.
- After this scan, some of the album's files get a new "modified" time
tag (for example, by pressing "save" in mp3tag)
- A second scan looks "for new and changed media files" and finds that
only some files change

OK, I've got the Duet controllers working properly again. It looks like
it is some kind of interaction between the PiHole, my DHCP server, my
Smoothwall firewall and the Squeezebox system. Sadly, in order to get it
working, I've had to switch off *all* the "Internet of Dross" filtering
I had.

I'm running the server with the --nomysqueezebox option (in
/etc/default/logitechmediaserver), so I don't know why they are doing
this.
This doesn't make any difference to the devices. They have a life of
their own, can live without LMS. But they do try to access mysb.com, as
you can see...
I've now tried removing the --nomysqueezebox from
/etc/default/logitechmediaserver and restarting the server and the Duet
controller, which has made no difference - it's still doing a DNS lookup
for jive.squeezenetwork.com every 3 seconds, and the Advanced ->

$ locate Slim/Plugin/PresetsEditor/Plugin.pm
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/Slim/Plugin/PresetsEditor/Plugin.pm
What if you created a symlink from /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/Slim to
/usr/lib64/perl5?
What is surprising me is that this is the only plugin for which this

My two Duet controllers have made over 24,000 DNS requests for
"jive.squeezenetwork.com" over the last 24 hours.
They are both running the latest software version.

I had the same problem with some of my players. Looks as if some players
have issues with gapless play (fading/cross-fading). Setting "Gapless"
to "No" in the configuration of the uPnP Bridge solved the problem for
me.

"jive" is the internal name of the SB Controller. That would be the
Controller trying to connect to mysb.com (I assume it's
squeezenetwork.com, not squeezeboxnetwork.com?). Do you own one? Every
few seconds definitely seems like too many requests.

I have just installed a "PiHole" advert blocking system, which among
other things allows me to log what DNS queries are being made on my
network. I have discovered that something (unfortunately, because of the
way my network is configured, I cannot easily find out what) is doing a
DNS query for
