Ciao, It's possible that another tag (rather than Album tittle, performer name, band name ...) which must be the same all over the tracks for a same album is different, like TRCK : Track number/position in set. i.e. the album contains 10 tracks, so you must have 1/10, 2/10...9/10, 10/10 as value for each of the 10 tracks but if one of the track is tagged with i.e. 3/11 it can be misinterpreted and see as a track from another album. A good and quick trick is to load the album in iTunes (ok, I know :rolleyes:). First off all you will immediately see if iTune split the wrong track from the rest of the album. Then you can get the information from each track and compare with the wrong one. I detected some Tags errors using iTunes. Interesting, all our "dirty little secrets" are coming out. I never use the "don't change timestamps" option in Mp3tag because my backup software, FreeFileSync, would then not detect the file had changed. If I don't want something showing up in "New Music", after editing I set the timestamps on those files back a few months using Attribute Changer. Yes, this sometimes happens depending on which tags you change. A way to avoid it is to re-save ALL of the files from that album in Mp3tag: open all files in folder, make your edits, then highlight all files and save. A "New/Changed" rescan will then re-index them all and you shouldn't get two albums. I think this happens if the following occurs: - An album is added in a scan. - After this scan, some of the album's files get a new "modified" time tag (for example, by pressing "save" in mp3tag) - A second scan looks "for new and changed media files" and finds that only some files changed in that album. - A second album is created with these changed files. (This should not happen.) And yes, "Clear library and rescan everything" helps here. I went through this recently and found that I needed to "Clear library and rescan everything" in order for LMS to recombine albums that had been split. "Look for new and changed media files" wouldn't do it even when all the tags had been corrected and saved to the files. If you haven't done this yet, give it a try. I have an album - Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit is the artist and the album is the same name, Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit. There is a track on that album that I cannot get to appear with the other tracks. So when I view by artist I see two albums, both called Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit. Is there a way to force the song onto the other album. I have triple checked the tags.
