As it happens I have no use of that plugin at all. The server is on 24/7 doing stuff for most of that time. So it's never been setup to use any kind of power saving. All the plugins I have are simply those that came with any installation of LMS. This server started life with Windows 10 Pro

The Prevent System Standby plugin works on Win10, at least on my system. And I wonder why an alarm should have any influence on it. But if the OP's system is working if it's deactivated only, so be it. reinholdk's
