As it happens I have no use of that plugin at all. The server is on
24/7 doing stuff for most of that time. So it's never been setup to use
any kind of power saving.
All the plugins I have are simply those that came with any installation
of LMS. This server started life with Windows 10 Pro

Maybe, but my OS is displayed correctly. But I have the Win10 Home
version and a somewhat older version of LMS 7.9 running.

The Prevent System Standby plugin works on Win10, at least on my system.
And I wonder why an alarm should have any influence on it.
But if the OP's system is working if it's deactivated only, so be it.

if you did a upgrade the plugins would survive.

Hi,
please disable ALL 3rd party plugins.
I am pretty sure that 1st plugin "prevent system standby" is last
patched some years ago and i would be surprised if its still working
under winten.

playlist as alarm ?

dont run the latest OS with 7.8.0 update at least to 7.8.1 or 7.9
And always look @ the server.log when there are some unexpected things
working/or not.
