 Please elaborate on that

Instead of using the 'move' function to shift the odd email to a different
folder it is easier just to drag it across. In this version I cannot.

Ay!

Personally I'm a bit schizoid about the whole FF/ SM thing.
I cannot see the difference between the FF/Tbird combination and SM on its
own yet I know that if SM worked as well as the FF/TB combination I would
opt for SM. However even though SM will by definition always lag behind I
cannot resist playing with it, but I did find V2 a step too far as it

Bookmark this link if you are using linux:
 http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-comm-1.9.1/linux-xpi/
 or for Windows:
 http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-comm-1.9.1/win32-xpi/
Actually, drag it to your Navigation toolbar so you'll be able to easily
 find it.

 From the browser: about:config
add (right click in the Preference name area click New|Boolean)
 extensions.checkCompatibility
 Set it to false.

Now go to the above and and double-click the lightning.xpi - you should
 then be able to install.

Just done that.

Sorted it, but I had to google Lightning version 2.8b1 and install it on
the latest SM

I'll await your answers as I don't see any ads, never mind acceptable one

Agreed.
I normally use Firefox because it's the 'best of the rest', but it has been
'doctored' for no good reason and spoiled as a result.
If only SM was available on Android I would use it like a shot.

FWIW I got almost everything back using an OLD backup on MozBackup.
It now works very well to a point.
I can get a Google Calendar showing up on the email window, but it is
empty.
After restart the Mail and Newsgroups window ALWAYS asks me to log in to
Google.

Did as you said. Google Calendar option was there - put in my gmail
address - got window to add my gmail address and password - got the
permission box - clicked on - then an EMPTY box appeared asking me to
choose my calendar.

Return to SM going wrong

2019-11-19 Thread Jim S
I am running Thunderbird and Vivaldi, but woul like to return to Seamonkey.
I have installed v 2.49.5 and it all looks fine. I had to fiddle around
with Lightning and Provider, but believe I have the correct versions.
However I seem to be able to install my Google Calendar, it never shows up
as an option when I open the calendar tab. All I get is the empty default
calendar.
Can anyone help?

I bought Microsoft Expression Web before it became free. I would not use
