My comments follow inline. emmapeel, do you want to polish your branch
accordingly? If not, please make sure BitingBird is on it :)
Very good suggestions indeed. Here the corresponding patch

Your repo apparently still has the old, pre-rewrite Git history =
please don't point anyone to it before this has been fixed, because
otherwise they'll pull ~200MB when fetching from your repo, and then
if anyone re-publishes
users from getting this info?
I'm afraid this can't be really fixed without switching to
a Whonix/Qubes design. This is one of the possible major goals we
might decide to go for in 2016-2018, but it's not been decided yet.

Perhaps we should call all our expected releases a.b.c, and bonus
intermediary releases a.b.c.d? In the case at hand, instead of 1.3,
1.3.1 and 1.3.2, this would have given 1.3.0, 1.3.0.1, and 1.3.1.
Thoughts?

It would help if you provided the exact command-line that produces
such output. Also, please pass --verbose to t-p-s.

Hi,
here's an initial analysis and some ideas wrt. how to fix it.

The root cause is that libeatmydata on Jessie is installed in
a multiarch path, but LD_PRELOAD is passed by Wheezy's eatmydata, so
points to a non-multiarch path. Perhaps the easiest solution is to
upload Jessie's eatmydata to wheezy-backports
